Hey there, fellow Johnny Carson enthusiasts! So, I just stumbled upon this gem of a video from 1986, and it’s bound to take you on a trip down memory lane. Remember those days when we couldn’t wait to tune in to “The Tonight Show” every night, laughing along with Johnny and his array of fascinating guests? Ah, the good old days!

You might recall that in April 1986, the country was in the midst of Ronald Reagan’s presidency, while Dire Straits’ “Money for Nothing” still had us humming along. A gallon of milk would’ve set us back around $1.92, and we were paying a whopping $89,430 for a brand-new home. And who could forget taking our sweethearts to the cinema for just $3.71 a pop? Talk about a blast from the past!
Let’s talk about this video, where the legendary Joan Embery brings a 5-month-old mountain lion onto Johnny’s stage. With its huge paws and mesmerizing gaze, this little kitty captured our hearts, didn’t it? We were fascinated as Joan talked about the challenges of keeping such wild animals as pets and the innate hunting instincts that could make them quite dangerous.

Can you believe that even with daily training from professional trainers, this baby mountain lion still had the potential to “reach out and just rip you open” with its claws? Yikes! But, as always, Johnny kept things lighthearted and entertaining, even when trying to coax the little lion to chase a remote-controlled rabbit. Remember the laughs when the lion showed little interest in the rabbit? Classic Carson!

So, I came across this fantastic video on MadlyOdd’s YouTube channel and just had to share it with you. It’s definitely worth a watch because it brings back all those warm, fuzzy feelings from when we used to gather around the TV every night to enjoy Johnny’s wit and charm. Go ahead, like and share this video with fellow fans, and let’s relive those memories together.
